Eric Woodward
Eric Woodward is an entrepreneur, advisor, investor, operator, and dot connector in and around financial technology companies with a strong focus on and passion for payments, identity, and financial inclusion.
In addition to advising Liminal and its clients on over 30 client engagements, Eric is an advisor and/or board member to Socure, Prove, Great Hill, and FT Partners.
Eric was previously the Group President of Early Warnings’ Identity, Authentication and Payments Risk businesses and led strategy and M&A for Early Warning for a decade. During Eric’s tenure, Early Warning grew its customer base 500% to 2500 Financial Institution customers; launched Zelle, a leading P2P payment network used 1 billion times a year by 50 million consumers; and created a new category of identity and authentication solutions known as Network Authentication that is used more than 25 billion times a year. Eric is also the founder of Authentify, a federated identity network backed by the seven largest US banks.
Eric is the author of 9 patents related to digital identity and payments and he holds a half dozen board-level advisory roles for fintech companies. Eric graduated with an MBA from Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business.
